ILM Foundation official blogspot for Humanitarian Day, establishing a humanitarian identity for Muslim America. Convert One Day into a Life's Mission, We are "People Helping People"
Humanitarian Day (H-Day) a domestic direct service, having its origin in Downtown Los Angeles' Skid Row community. An event during Ramadan providing needs, goods and services for; individuals, families in transition, and the homeless.
In 2007-2008 H-Day's outreach expanded internationally to, Ghana and Indonesia. There our focus is more on medical and nutritional support, youth development and urban planning. Over the years, your contributions have gone forth to provide...
Medical and Nutritional support in Indonesia
Youth Development and Education for healthy bodies and minds in Ghana
The completion of facilities for community services and hygiene support
Community iftars during Ramadan
Now in 2012, H-Day International has started grass-root efforts in Jedda, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia. These efforts are the beginning and vision of H-Day's mission statement, Convert one into a Life's Mission. In Ethiopia, your contribution helped provide an iftar for Orphans; and Ghana was education and asisstance for students. A healthy meal for growing minds and education for healthy minds, Thank you!

Recently the H-Day soul has arrived in Jedda, Saudi Arabia. The Coalition to Preserve Human Dignity are providing health care packets for those residents who are less fortunate. Watch here, out of respect this clip only documents what is necessary; safe guarding privacy and one's dignity.
H-Day international is growing and we need your prayers (dua) support to continue this work, that provides blessings for everyone.
Humanitarian
Day is dedicated to direct social services and education for
those displaced or homeless in America and abroad. We are not a
political party and/or group who deals for with domestic or
foreign policy matters. We pray for Safe Spaces for those unprotected,
homes for those unsheltered, jobs for those unemployed, and basic
necessities for all in need. Thank You for the Opportunity to Serve!
Ramadan Mubarak... It has come to our attention the Los Angeles Police
Department issued parking citations, during your charity work. In the 13
years of Humanitarian Day, we have never had a problem with parking.
Coincidence, a local community event, street closure extended into our
parking area. This logistic we did not see coming and was not prepared
for and we do apologize for the inconvenience.
Hopefully you know this was out our control. We will visit the City of
Los Angeles this week and see how they can alleviate this burden. Our
Security Lead did collect your contact information and citation numbers
and we are working trying alleviate any if not all cost of these
citations. If would not please pay these citations to avoid any
penalties. Those we collected, we will be in contact and keep you
updated this week.
Despite the heat, we were able to 600 and additional 400 deliveries
directly to the people. May Allah Accept our action and deeds...amin and
thank you.
"Today we earned our iftar, enjoyed it and keep us in your dua"

"Every Thursday" will feature people of creativity and/or ideas of leadership throughout their work.
Los Angeles, California the home for Hollywood's glamour, awesome weather in the Winter, and the highest population of homelessness in the nation. In the shadows of Downtown LA, lies the community of Skid Row. A community once known for its hard workers and now it is a neighborhood for charity, good deeds and special care.
Some important Homeless Facts...
On an average night in the 23 cities surveyed, 94 percent of people living on the streets were single adults, 4 percent were part of families and 2 percent were unaccompanied minors.
The average length of stay in emergency shelter was 69 days for single men, 51 days for single women, and 70 days for families. For those staying in transitional housing, the average stay for single men was 175 days, 196 days for single women, and 223 days for families.
In the City of Los Angeles in January 2011 there were an estimated 23,539 homeless persons, which represents a 9% decrease from the prior count.
What is the public's responsibility for the homeless, can city government handle this on their own?
For 12 years, California Muslim Communities have organized themselves together as the Coalition to Preserve Human Dignity (CPHD). Volunteers, Organizations and Institutions sharing collective resources for Humanitarian Day (H-Day) projects. Humanitarian Day is a direct social service that provides; hot meals, clothing, medical examinations and essential care that is normally unavailable for people in transition and/or homeless.
H-Days are held during the month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast for 30 days during sunlight hours. H-Day founded by the ILM Foundation, who organize by identifying leadership, creating relief and build community organizations to sustain urban life... in Los Angeles, Oakland, Long Beach, South Central, the Inland Empire, Pasadena, Bakersfield and Dallas - making an effort to please the Creator.
